Owning a brand new Aston Martin isn’t easy, but you’d might be surprised to find out that a V8 Vantage could give you a hard time as well.

Apart from the running costs, which are obviously high on such a car, the model comes with its own quirky traits and features that might just put off somebody looking for perfection in an exclusive, exotic automobile.

Truth be told, attention to detail wasn’t Aston’s strong point when it was owned by Ford, as Doug de Muro points out in his latest video. The design is absolutely gorgeous, but so are the parts borrowed by Ford’s models and, after living with it, not a few of nuisances, too.

De Muro bought his Aston for $45,000, and at that kind of cash one would expect everything to be bespoke because, let’s be honest, “premium” isn’t the first word that springs to mind for all of its bits and pieces. Still, it could be worse, as somebody most likely paid in excess of $100,000 for it.

Putting up with those is probably worth it for the sound alone, as its 4.3-litre V8 not only produces 380 HP and 302 lb/ft (409 Nm) of torque, but an eargasm as well. And just look at that shape!
