The 1-litre ecoboost engine may be tiny, but it has the brawn to cope with almost everything you throw at it, as Dolph Lundgren demonstrates in Ford’s “The Boost” series.

When he’s not out filming action packed movies, Dolph Lundgren uses his 160 IQ to put the small but punchy engine to all sorts of scientific tests. In all seriousness though, Dolph’s IQ figure isn’t official and he claims it’s a little exaggerated, but his degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering could state otherwise.

Naturally, Ford thought he was the perfect man to mix brains and brawn in order to perform experiments on objects which weren’t designed to handle the engine’s 123 HP and 148 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque, creating some diehard machines in the process. And quite dangerous, to be honest.

So how about a 1.0-litre ecoboost-powered pitching machine, blender or skateboard? There’s nothing like a blender of brutality that can transform almost everything into chop suey, whether its wood or another blender. The 999 cc skateboard that can easily top 100 Km/h (62 mph) is ridiculous, but so is the pitching machine which instantly transforms any kind of spherical object into a projectile

These contraptions are so outrageous because Ford created them in an attempt to market and show-off the power of its powerplant, using the actor slash scientist as an ambassador.
