Project Kahn has made a name for itself customizing Land Rovers. Defenders especially, but also Range Rovers and other models from the British off-road outfitter. And now it has turned its attention to the new Discover Sport.

The example pictured here is dubbed the Black Label Edition. It’s based on the 2.0 TD4 version of the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the model which replaced the aging Freelander as the manufacturer realigns its product range into three lineups. (The Discovery is one of those, the Range Rover another, and the upcoming replacement for the Defender the third.)

The Black Label Edition, as you might have ascertained from the name (if not from the photos) is all murdered out in Santorini Black with matte black trim and 20-inch wheels. Inside, however, it’s another story.

Kahn has refinished the interior in red leather with an oversized, quilted herringbone pattern, Alcantara trim and machined aluminum pedals and sill plates. Of course Kahn will outfit one any which way you like, or it will sell you this exact one for £49,423, representing a hefty premium over the Disco Sport’s £31,095 starting price.

In case your wondering, Kahn’s asking price also pretty evenly splits the difference between a Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport, or could put you in a full-size Discovery. But that, of course, would be for a showroom-stock example of a model that’s already on its way out, instead of a fully customized take on JLR’s latest.
