Still think electronics are the enemy of performance? Then you probably haven’t tried the Drift mode in the Ford Focus RS, Ludicrous mode in the Tesla Model S, or any the Launch Control on any new sports car worth its rubber. Now they’ve got company, and it comes with only three wheels.

The new 2017 Can-Am Spyder F3-S features a new setting called Sport mode. It switches off the traction control and optimizes the Vehicle Stability System to allow for controlled spinning of that solitary rear wheel for grin-inducing burnouts and drifting.

Power comes from a 1330-cc three-cylinder engine rated at 115 horsepower and 96 lb-ft of torque, mated to a transmission with six speeds (plus reverse) available in either manual or semi-automatic configurations. It also features Brembo brakes and Fox gas front shocks, as well as dynamic power steering, cruise control and ABS.

Inspired by the turbocharged concept revealed earlier this year, the production F3-S does without the turbo spool. But it is available in a special Daytona 500 Edition, featuring special graphics, spoiler, grille, wheels, seat cowl and drag-style handlebar.

Pricing starts at $21,249 for the new F3-S and $22,249 for the Daytona edition. The long and short of it, though, is that it looks like about the most fun you could have on three wheels. But don’t take our word for it: watch NASCAR driver Jeffery Earnhardt show off what it can do in the video below.
