We’ve grown accustomed to the sight of a disguised Porsche 911 prototype. There are, after all, new versions constantly under development, with varying bodystyles and levels of performance capability.

What they typically all share in common is that they’re being developed by the manufacturer itself… but not this one.

This disguised prototype is actually being worked up by TechArt, one of the foremost Porsche tuners on the market. It’s called the GTstreet R, and it’s based on the latest 911 Turbo S.

Unfortunately the tuner isn’t giving us much else to go on in the way of details. But the GTstreet R has big shoes to fill. The previous GTstreet RS was based on the 997-generation GT2 RS, taking Zuffenhausen’s most extreme 911 even closer to the edge.

We’ll have to wait until later this year before TechArt takes the wraps off the new model. But from all the wings and vents we can see so far, it looks poised to deliver the goods.
