Speculators: always have, always will be around no matter what, but this one clearly aims high with his/her Vantage GT12.

One of Aston Martin’s latest masterpieces, the GT12 is an exquisite, limited-edition sports car reserved for a handful of customers willing to pay £250,000 ($333,991) for Gaydon’s finest.

Only 100 of these race-inspired super Vantages were made, and sold like hotcakes.

The vehicle’s 100 kg weight loss, 565bhp V12 engine, and use of exotic materials, such as aluminum, magnesium, titanium and carbon-fiber, was an exclusive recipe that could please even the most pretentious petrolhead/collector. However, its limited, special run pleased speculators as well, that’s how this £499,995 variant came to be.

Yes, you read it right, a seller wants to get rid of a GT12, on Autotrader, for half a million quid. That’s $667,150, or double the initial asking price (if we don’t take into account the possible options).

Alas, with only 499 miles (803 km) on the clock, this unit is the fastest way you can get your hands on a GT12 (for now). Your call.
