If Maserati’s current product plans come to fruition, the Italian company will introduce its Alfieri sports car to the market in 2018.

So far previewed only be a sleek concept, the Alfieri adopts a design radically different to any Maserati models before it and has the makings to be just the car the firm needs. But as impressive as it is, we’ve just stumbled across a sports car design that’s even better.

Dreamt up by Behance artist Emre Husmen, the car takes inspiration from the Alfieri and mixes it with the balls-to-the-wall aggression of the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale. The finished product may make Maserati reconsider the Alfieri’s styling.

At the front, a grille similar to the Alfieri’s has been included but alongside it are enlarged and much sharper air intakes. The headlights have also been totally redesigned as has the hood and the entire side profile.

The rear is also a mix of the Alfieri and the MC Stradale with two central exiting exhaust pipes, a bold diffuser, a bootlid lip spoiler and a more dramatic pair of taillights.
