Fuji Heavy Industries, the parent company of Subaru, announced the recall of about 935,000 examples of the Legacy in order to fix an issue with their front windshield wipers.

Models produced between 2009 and 2013 are the ones identified with the problem.

The recall affects customers in 76 countries, including the United States where around 592,000 units of the Subaru Legacy are affected.

The company also said in their statement that they are recalling around 107,000 vehicles in Japan. The remaining 236,000 vehicles were sold to Europe, Asia and Australia.

Earlier this year, Subaru of America issued a stop sale and recall concerning certain units of the 2016-2017 Legacy and Outback models due to a possible steering defect.
