Production of the brand new Audi TT RS started last month at the firm’s facility in Gyor, Hungary and as this video shows, no expense was spared to ensure the latest RS model is built to the company’s exacting standards.

Audi’s facility in Gyor covers over two million square meters and brings the TT RS to life through a combination of robots and expert craftsmen. While machines do some of the harder work, like marrying the powertrain and chassis, employees carry out some of the more time consuming tasks including measuring panel gaps by hand and polishing each TT RS to leave the production line.

Arguably the most impressive thing about the new TT RS is just how fast it is. In the sprint from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph), it is quicker than the first-generation R8 V10, taking a mere 3.7 seconds to hit highway speeds.

Making the sports car so fast is its turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine delivering 394 hp and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. Coupled to the engine is a seven-speed S tronic transmission sending power to all four wheels.
