Last month, Porsche’s Le Mans-winning 919 Hybrid hit the streets of London with Mark Webber behind the wheel and now, it has released a new clip that includes its racer.

While the highlight of the convoy was the 919, the key focus of the clip is the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid which drove behind the 919 through the city’s most famous sights. Throughout, lots of parallels are drawn between the advanced technologies of the endurance racer and the hybrid five-door.

Powering the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine which on its own, delivers 330 hp and 450 Nm of torque. That powerplant is then mated to an electric motor with 136 hp and 400 Nm of instantly available torque. Those figures make the 0-100 km/h (62 mph ) sprint achievable in 4.6 seconds and a 278 km/h (170 mph) top speed.

While the performance of the car is certainly impressive, it’s arguably its fuel efficiency which is even more worthy of praise. As a matter of fact, it sips just 2.5 liters of fuel per 100 km (94 MPG US) and emits 56 g/km of CO2 emissions. It can also drive for 50 km in all-electric mode at speeds of up to 140 km/h.
