If you’re looking for an alternative to run-of-the-mill German premium saloons, the 2017 Lincoln Continental seems to be a case worth considering.

At least that’s what Kelley Blue Book editor Micah Muzio seems to think, after taking a quick look at a car that’s full of advanced tech and makes for an extremely comfortable drive.

If the appearance of the exterior isn’t enough to peak your curiosity, the built-in door handles might just do the trick. And don’t worry if the battery dies, because there are two other ways in which you can open the doors.

Inside, the new Continental looks very comfortable, especially in the back. Also, if you go for the rear seating package, you get functions like cooled and heated seats, a massage feature and access to the car’s infotainment system.

On the road, the 2017 Continental may not be the sportiest car you can buy, but when equipped with the 400 HP, 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine, it can certainly cover ground in a hurry.

Prices currently start at $44,560, for which you get a 3.7-liter V6 with 305 HP and plenty of cool features such as 10-way heated power front seats, rear seat AC/heat vents, SYNC3, 8″ LCD touchscreen, Lincoln Premium Audio System with 10 speakers, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, wood trim for the door panels, console and media bin, a leather-wrapped steering wheel plus a whole lot more.

How do you feel about getting into one of these instead of something like an Audi A6, Cadillac CTS and the rest of the mid-size premium gang?
