This super-Jag has, somehow, always been the underdog of the supercar world.

While it’s very rare, stunning to look at and still relevant in terms of performance, the XJ220 remains reasonably priced on the used car market.

Sure, you can argue that ~$400,000 is an obscene amount of money, but its contemporary competitors, like the Ferrari F40, Porsche 959, Bugatti EB110, and even the Ferrari F50, are now fetching north of $1 million.

The car wasn’t on par with what Jag promised at the time of its launch, getting a turbocharged V6 instead of a V12 and rear-wheel drive instead of AWD. Even so, the V6 was motorsport-derived and made the XJ220 the fastest car in the world (until the McLaren F1 broke the record in 1998) and the fastest car around the Nurburgring from 1992 to 2000, with a 7:46.36 lap time.

Nowadays, most of the XJ220s are managed by Don Law Racing, a company that got its hands on almost everything that’s the XJ220, from the CAD tool to the body-panel manufacturing mechanisms.

If you want to learn more about them, their mission and, of course, the XJ220, we recommend the video down below.
