Aston Martin knows how to build wonderful V12 GTs, but the new DB11 is ushering in a whole new era for the British sports car maker. Signifying the beginning of a new chapter, the Aston Martin DB11 hosts more than just a few firsts for the company.

The body is penned according to a new design language, the engine is now keeping company with a pair of turbos, the interior feels and looks more modern thanks to the new onboard tech; compared to the previous models, the Aston Martin DB11 feels like a breath of fresh air.

And while some may argue that the styling is too busy for an Aston, the company is keen to point out that the new design direction is also combined with an impressive aero agenda that includes the side gills, the so-called Virtual Spoiler and the sculpted rear end.

In the end, it’s all about honesty; the new DB11 doesn’t pretend to be anything other than a GT. Whether it’s a good GT or not, we’ll let Chris Harris tell you on the video linked below.
