An original 1963 Jaguar E-Type Roadster is currently up for sale on eBay and while it may be rusty and scruffy, it is the perfect candidate for a restoration.

Located in North Eastham, Massachusetts, this E-Type Roadster includes a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and left the factory on the 30th of July 1963 and was shipped immediately to the United States in the same shade of Opalescent Dark Green that it wears to this day. Complementing the paint is then Suede Green leather and a French Gray roof.

No information has been provided about where the car has been stored most of its life but it does suffer from some serious rust issues, particularly across the undertray and inside the wheel arches. Strip away the paint and there’s probably even more rust to be found.

Nevertheless, the originality of the car is what collectors care about. After all, rust can be removed or repaired and for the most part, the interior is in reasonable condition but could benefit from new leather and materials.

At the time of writing, the highest bid was sitting at $18,300 with the reserve yet to be met.
