13 seconds. That’s what it takes for the Bugatti Chiron to send you traveling at the speed of 300kph (186mph) in perfect style.

With thrust provided by a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 making 1479hp (1500PS) and 1180lb-ft (1600Nm) of peak torque available at 2000rpm sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Bugatti Chiron is here to dominate the numbers game.

Bugatti’s official figures say that the Chiron will do a 0-62mph in 2.4 seconds while the temporarily limited top speed is set at 261mph (420km/h). Why temporarily? Because there are no tires capable enough to allow the Chiron to properly max out on a straight line.

The official figures are: 0-200km/h (124mph) in 6.1 seconds and 0-300km/h (186mph) is 13.1 seconds, numbers that are just mind-boggling, especially after you watch the company’s official video which shows just how easy it is for the Chiron to reach that kind of speeds.

The world simply can’t wait to see just how fast the Bugatti Chiron will be, when the company finally gets the proper tires for a top speed run.
