Known for their crazy single-seater Mono, BAC is looking into expanding their line-up with a supercar.

The commercial success of the BAC Mono has driven the company into planning a second model. The British company wants the new model to represent accurately the brand’s values like an ultra-lightweight structure, advanced aerodynamics and a pushrod suspension setup.

The new model has still a long way to go though, as the company is still in the process of deciding the specs of it. BAC’s development director Neil Briggs is examining the option of a three-seater layout with the driver in the middle. “Nothing’s decided,” says Briggs to Autocar, “but I don’t believe we’d do a two-seater. That’s other people’s territory.”

Briggs also said that he would like BAC to co-operate at the design and integration stage with an engine partner while they are about to appoint an owner advisory panel in order to get their advice.

BAC currently offers the Mono in 20 countries, with US being the largest market for them and they are going to increase their production in order to cope with the increased demand.
