Alfa Romeo Giulia QV Ready To Scare The BMW M3

First English-speaking video review finds the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Cloverleaf worthy of the hype.

After years and years of waiting, Alfa’s most significant model in its modern history has finally arrived, with the first batch of journos getting behind its wheel for a short drive on the company’s Balocco test track.

Autotrader
has brought us their first driving impressions of Alfa’s M3 rival, and the news are really promising indeed.

With 503hp on tap from an all-new twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 engine, the Giulia Cloverleaf wants to teach a lesson or two to ze German high-performance sedans but its task is far from easy. Thankfully, we get to hear that Alfa Romeo has a properly engineered car in its hands, with a pointy front end, a light but direct steering and a forgiving character close to its limit.

Does this mean that Alfa Romeo has finally returned? Having a solid flagship that everyone wants to drive certainly helps its case.

fantastic car, looks great in gray and that awesome blue. hope to see in person soon. thanks for posting.

In other, more important news, Max Verstappen at 18 and on debut for Red Bull, won the SPANISH GRAND PRIX, and shattered records by doing it. I could care less about a car I can’t even drive yet.

    It’s the “Flying Dutchman’s” day!!!

    • sabman

The victory was handed to him by Mercedes and the fact that Raikonnen is too slow. If Vettel or Hamilton were chasing him then he would have finished second.

      • Tumbi Mtika

Vettel WAS chasing him. The entire race. Dumbass…

      • Tumbi Mtika

And as for the “handed to him by Mercedes” comment, they did that to themselves. You sound like this. “Oh Mercedes made that rookie mistake to promote Max Verstappen. They are such good people. They sacrificed their win for Red Bull.”People like you make me sick. All I hope is that you change your tune quick. I hope…

    • Matt

That’s cool. Now back to the Guilia…

    • Dennis James

This comment is as interesting as “my roommate made $20.000 last month. You can do it too”.

    • Peter

But… Alfa Romeo Giulia, man! Alfa Romeo Giulia!

    • CarCzarDesigner

Yes, it was an incredible race. He made the win look easy, but it wasn’t. Good for Max! Those that follow F1 know, this kid has the juice to be World Champion and entering the elite group of being one of “The all time greatest drivers.”

  • pcurve

OMG those carbon bucket seats @1:23. WANT! NOW!

  • cooper

Absolutely, M3’s are driven by artfags. The M3 has become such a joke.

  • Kash

Why compare it to the BMW when Merc is the class leader this time around?

P.s. that’s a rhetorical question by the way.

    • law

Class leader? Get of the joint son its not good for u. BMW is a yardstick on how to built a great car

    • Chris

M3 is still the King in its category.. 🙂 C63 has too much power and handling is hard on the corners. got improved on the last model but still has some work to do

      • Dennis James

There is no such thing as “too much power”. That’s why you have an accelerator pedal.

        • Chris

have a look in videos how the car behaves when pushed on the corners and you will understand what I mean… 🙂
