Refreshed VW Up! Priced From £8,995 In The UK

After revealing their restyled up! city car at the end of last month, VW have now released full pricing & specs for UK buyers.

Order books are set to open today (July 21) at VW retailers nationwide, where £8,995 (RRP OTR) will land you an entry-level 60 PS Take up! 1.0-liter 3-door manual version.

Aside from its subtly revised exterior design, the up! will be available with a new 90 PS 1.0-liter TSI turbocharged engine (available to order in August), extra equipment as standard, more exterior colors (13 instead of 10), decals and roof colors as well as plenty of interior personalization options.

Buying into the up! range means that you’ll first come across the previously mentioned Take up! spec, which is available with the ‘Composition’ infotainment system, remote central locking, electric front windows and driver’s seat height adjustment. In other words, buyers will be getting these features for free where otherwise they would need to spend around £465 – as was the case with the previous model.

Next in line is the Move up! spec which adds 15″ alloys, a color infotainment touchscreen with the ‘Composition Phone’ system and Bluetooth connectivity. Add that to the four additional speakers and you’ve got an extra £780’s worth of equipment at no additional cost.

The High up! on the other hand gets different 15″ alloys, sat-nav and ambient lighting mounted in the dash, while the up! Beats boasts a powerful 300-watt seven-speaker sound system, plus a subwoofer in the boot. It also has Beats graphics, badges and a 3D dashpad design.

Among its 13 exterior paint options, the up! features seven brand new ones including ‘Costa Azul’, ‘Honey Yellow’ and ‘Savanna Gold’. The roof however can be colored separately thanks to the new Roof Pack – available in either black, white or ‘Urano Grey’.
