Humble Dodge Challenger Hellcat Driver Gives Corvette C6 A Taste Of 707 Horses

If you own a Dodge Challenger Hellcat that’s capable of out-accelerating most supercars, one couldn’t blame you for being a little arrogant while cruising the streets in the supercar-slayer.

The owner of this Hellcat couldn’t be any more different.

While cruising the streets in his C6 Corvette, YouTuber itsjusta6 came across a man who appeared to be in his 60s driving his blacked-out Hellcat and begging for a race against the Corvette.

Given the horsepower advantage of the Hellcat, it’s no surprise that it came out victorious in all of the rolling races. However, the really cool part is when the Corvette driver pulls alongside to comment on the Hellcat.

“Man, that thing is awesome,” he says, prompting a simple response from the Hellcat driver; “It runs alright.” He then proceeds to pull away, performing a picture perfect powerslide in the process, and proving that the Hellcat can really make you feel as if you run the world. Good on him.

  • Six Thousand Times

Guy still looks like a hillbilly even he can easily blow away a last-gen ‘Vette. ‘Course, if the road started to twist a little…

  • Adilos Nave

Funny, it’s almost like that could be dangerous or something. Stupid hillbillies.

    • Moveon Libtards

Coming from a guy with the name of “Adilos”…”Developing country”, you say?

    • nastinupe

Any type of racing, sanctioned or otherwise, is ultimately dangerous.

  • kachuks

That old timer knows what he’s doing. A younger, more exuberant driver would have ended up in the median taking that turnaround.

Does Bradley realize that is Corvette is almost TWO GENERATIONS OLD? The C8 is right around the corner.

And the fact that Bradley is so enamored with straightline acceleration just proves he is behind the times…Slow news day, hillbilly Bradley?

One thing is for sure that Dodge nead som new front tires , they are bold

  • SteersUright

Who cares? All that power to the rear wheels in an obese muscle car just means you hit that tree that much harder. Give me a sports car that can both sign and dance! C6 is half-way decent actually in those areas, but not in my personal top 5 faves.

  • TrevP

Video made me smile just cause you know these guys are having fun, but I wouldn’t be that stupid driving that fast. Come on. These guys are old enough to know how dangerous it can be driving that fast. Hopefully they don’t learn a lesson the hard way.

Shouldn’t be doing that crap on public roads, but the video was a blast. Love everyone’s attitude.

  • Craig

I’d love to own a Hellcat Widebody.

  • MrChainBlueLightnin

The guys in the Vette were cool and really complimentary. The ol redneck in the Cat seemed like a douche. Ya didn’t build it grandpa, ya plunked down your $75k and drove it home. Take it to the track and get humbled by guys driving 60’s and 70’s cars that they DID build, and check out THEIR taillights. Scott Tiemann will blow his doors off driving his 68 Firebird Ram Air II on BIAS PLYS! Regularly turns mid 9’s. THAT is something you can brag about.

It’s a plain c6!!!!…there stock mb s class cars that can do same….vettes have always had power to weight advantage….now something with enough hp can beat it….I own a 427 z06 and would have been closer …but he may have still won???…good for mopar to have a fast car again….been 40 years of being 3rd in class race cars…good for you dodge!!!! I’m a mopar car guy too…65 big block belvedere 451 cid….he could probably beat it too,,,,,with a.c. on and 20 mpg also…was a fun little video…always somone complaining about racing on roads….yes it is dangerous….but those same people who gripe are the same ones who read or put on makeup in rush hour traffic…which is just as bad …..enjoy guys …
