With the Dodge Challenger Hellcat being the star of so many drag racing clips, it almost seemed like people forgot about the equally powerful Charger.

What we have here isn’t a proper 1/4 mile run but it doesn’t really matter. There was still plenty of room for the cars to get separation and sometimes that’s all you need in order to call it a drag race.

In one corner you have the beastly 707 HP Charger with its 6.2 liter supercharged HEMI V8. This engine also produces 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque so a rolling start is really up its alley.

The Hellcat can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and keep going until it hits 328 km/h (204 mph) – it can also cover the 1/4 mile in about 11 seconds in case you were wondering.

As for the previous generation C6 Corvette Z06, it’s still a heck of a brawler and not to be taken lightly, regardless of what opponent it faces. Unless it’s a LaFerrari or something crazy like that.

Anyway, the old Z06 could cover ground as well as anybody else back in the day. It had a monster 7.0 liter V8 engine, producing 505 HP, helping it reach a top speed of 318 km/h (198 mph). The C6 Z06 could also cover a 1/4 mile in 11.5 seconds, which is fairly similar to what the Charger Hellcat can do.

So what happens when these two go head to head? Well, (lack of) weight wins, as always!
