Eight Ford Performance models raced each other on the Motorland circuit near Barcelona recently, with Ford Chip Ganassi Race Team drivers behind the wheel.

The models in question were the new Mustang GT, the Mustang GT350R, the Ford GT in road car and race car guise, the Focus RS, the all-new Fiesta ST, the old Fiesta ST and the F-150 Raptor.

Ford filmed the cars around Motorland in partnership with Castrol Edge during a four-hour window in which the drivers set off at intervals for an exciting eight-way battle through the final bends and finish straight.

“It was a hilarious shoot. Eight racing drivers all given a car to go flat-out in for a race. Anything could have happened and it almost did! It was amazing to be one of the first people to drive the all-new Fiesta ST, one of the most popular cars in the world, and it handled like a dream,” said Harry Tincknell, one of the drivers.

The two luckiest drivers were arguably Joey Hand and Olivier Pla, who drove the Mustang GT350R and Ford GT respectively. The former stated that he was hoping he would get the GT350R, while Pla went as far as to call the GT a “work of art.”

All but two of the cars featured the automaker’s EcoBoost engine technology, from the small 3-cylinder 1.5-liter unit in the new Fiesta ST, to the 3.5-liter twin turbo EcoBoost in the F-150 Raptor and the GT.
