Lexus just released an extended version of the 30-second ad they will be running during the third quarter of this year’s Super Bowl LII, scheduled to take place on February 4th in Minneapolis.

The ad, titled “Long Live The King”, also previews next month’s highly anticipated Black Panther movie, opening in theaters on February 16th.

In this 60-second action packed video, the story revolves around T’Challa, newly crowned king and long-time protector of Wakanda, attempting to retrieve some stolen vibranium with a little help from the Lexus LC 500 and the LS 500 F Sport.

“There is an authentic match between the duality of both the Black Panther and the LS. The spot utilizes the Black Panther’s life as a Super Hero and as royalty to show the two sides of the LS: performance and luxury,” said Lexus VP of marketing, Cooper Ericksen. “The stars aligned for this Super Bowl spot, with Lexus launching our flagship sedan and audiences primed for Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated release ‘Black Panther.’ Uniting LS with Black Panther on advertising’s biggest stage was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”

The ad, shot in downtown Los Angeles, was directed by Samuel Bayer and incorporates actual footage from the film, as well as some of the film’s actors such as the Dora Milaje team of Wakandan special forces, Janeshia Adams-Ginyard, Marija Abney and Zola Williams. Even the movie’s fight choreographer was tasked with supervising the spot’s fight scene.
