Ford and LEGO have teamed up to create a 1968 Mustang race car which will become part of the Speed Champions lineup.

Set to go on sale next month, the Speed Champions Mustang is constructed out of 183 different pieces and features green bodywork as well as ironic pony logos. The car also has a removable windscreen, gold wheels, and racing graphics.

The set comes complete with a Ford-branded timing board and a scruffy-looking mini-fig dressed in a classic racing suit which also features the Ford logo.

While the car isn’t as detailed as some of the company’s other creations, Ford licensing manager Matt Monroe said “We worked closely with LEGO to design a vintage Mustang, personalizing the fastback with stripes and decals that harken back to Ford’s racing heritage.” He went on to say the 1968 Mustang is a “special product” which adds more excitement to the LEGO Speed Champions lineup which also includes the Bugatti Chiron, Corvette Z06, McLaren 720S, and Mercedes-AMG GT3.

The LEGO Mustang will be priced from $14.99 which makes it significantly more affordable than the real thing which starts at $25,585. LEGO also offers an assortment of other Ford vehicles including the F-150 Raptor and the Fiesta WRC rally car.
