The second generation Audi A7 Sportback will arrive in the UK this spring, with the entry-level 50 TDI quattro Sport model costing £54,940.

Go for petrol power on the Sport trim and that will set you back £55,140, whereas the better equipped S line spec means spending £57,840 for the 50 TDI quattro and £58,040 for the 55 TFSI quattro.

The 55 TFSI is powered by a petrol V6 TFSI, producing 340 PS and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque. It can get the A7 from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.3 seconds, before maxing out at 250 km/h (155 mph). Meanwhile, the 50 TDI variant is a V6 diesel that delivers 286 PS and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. It will do 0-100 in 5.7 seconds and has the same top speed as the TFSI.

When it comes to specs, buyers will enjoy LED front and rear lights and 19″ alloys on Sport versions, with Twin leather-upholstered seats with full electric adjustment upfront and LED ambient interior lighting setting the tone inside.

Meanwhile, tech features shared by both trim levels include the fully digital Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch, Audi Smartphone Interface and the Audi Phone Box with wireless charging for QI-enabled compatible phones (basically most of the latest flagships from Apple, Samsung and LG, plus some older models from various manufacturers.)

As for electronic driver assistance features, those include the Audi Parking System Plus with rear-view camera, the Audi Pre-sense Front collision warning and automatic braking system and the Lane Departure Warning.

Opting for the better equipped S line trim means adding 20″ alloys, HD Matrix LED headlights with dynamic front and rear indicators and coming/leaving home animations, sport suspension that lowers the body by 10 mm (0.4 in) and S line-specific body styling. Inside, you get bolstered front sport seats covered in leather and Alcantara, plus additional S line trim.
