Bugatti Chiron Would Get Smashed By Koenigsegg One:1 According To Forza 7

Unlike the Veyron, the Bugatti Chiron has yet to quench our thirst for speed, as we’re itching to see just how fast it is compared to some of the world’s most powerful hypercars.

On paper, its credentials are extremely impressive. Its 8.0-liter W16 engine produces 1,500 PS (1,479 HP) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque, which translates to a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time of less than 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 420 km/h (260 mph).

The only downside is that it weighs roughly two tonnes (4,400 lbs), whereas the Koenigsegg One:1 tips the scales at just 1,360 kg (3,000 lbs).

The One:1 also packs quite a punch, thanks to its 1,360 horses and 1,371 Nm (1,011 lb-ft) of torque, so its power-to-weight ratio is superior to that of the Chiron. Other striking facts about the Koenigsegg is that it can hit 400 km/h (248 mph) in just 20 seconds, and then brake to 0 km/h in just 10 seconds.

So which of the two would win in a standing mile-long drag race? According to Forza Motorsport 7, that would be the Koenigsegg, by about a second – which in hypercar terms is quite a lot, especially when you factor in the Chiron’s excellent traction off the line thanks to its all-wheel drive.

Granted, video games might be getting better and better but they don’t always get things right. Until someone pits those two hypercars against each other, though, we’ll have to make do with Forza’s virtual outcome…

    One:1 = Messi

    Chiron = Ronaldo

  • Despite the simulation has become more accurate than ever, I always feels car in Forza is way faster than the real ones.

    • wins_lord

Except the C63 S coupe on Forza is way slower than my C63 S sedan on a straight line.

  • Rick Horwat

The One:1 would destroy a Chiron as would the RS and Regera. I am a Koenigsegg fan. What they have been able to do with the limited resources when compared to Bug/Audi/Porsche/VW is phenomenal.

  • LeStori

So a koenisegg driver will loose their licence quicker than a Buggati driver. Both will still be walking unless they drive around at “idle” with all that power going to waste. All bit of a whose-got -the-biggest competition and no women around.

  • Elmediterraneo

The real question is : In real life conditions who would you trust at +400 km/h ? The best work of the Vollswagen group engineers or a little company somewhere in Sweden ?

    • Mind Synthetic

i rather die in style, massive fireball crossing the finish line first. so Sweds it is

    • Skydis

This guy’s assuming the work of the Swedes isn’t on par with that of Bugatti…

    • Tom

Bugatti is limited to a 250 km/h top speed at their testing track at Colmar Airport. Koenigsegg regularly does 350 km/h on theirs.

Bugatti has to glue their tyres to the rim and they only last a few minutes at speeds above 400 km/h. Koenigsegg does not have to glue their tyres to the rim and they made it a point to set six different world records with more than a handful of 400+ km/h runs on one set of tyres, a set the car still wears and was driven to and from the track on.

So I would trust the company that actually takes their cars to 300+ km/h before delivery and doesn’t disintegrate their tyres at the speeds the car was designed for. And that would be Koenigsegg.
