Most traffic stops that police carry out, we’d imagine, are pretty routine. License and registration and all that. Maybe the driver gets a ticket, maybe not. Maybe he or she gets arrested. But this… this is something else entirely.

Posted some time ago on Facebook is dashcam footage of a cop pulling over a guy riding a skyjack rolling scissor lift down the street. Not exactly a roadworthy vehicle, designed as it is to operate on job sites – not on public highways. But it gets funnier than that.

We’re not sure where the event transpired. Somewhere in the Deep South, we gather from the accents spoken by the individuals involved. But the driver (or operator) is clearly drunk, and gets more than a little indignant when the police officer asks him to get down.

We don’t want to give it all away here, so we’d encourage you to watch the clip yourself, as some 22 million people already have. (It’s less than two and a half minutes long, and we can pretty much guarantee you won’t regret it.) Suffice it to say that the equipment’s essential function is deployed – and deployed to hilarious effect, at that.

Given the choice between “the easy way” or “the hard way,” this fella didn’t take the easy way. In short, we wouldn’t advise trying this at home (much less on the streets thereabout). And if you get stopped by police, in whatever type of vehicle, you’d best be sober, cooperate, and act courteously in the process.
