Cops Pulled Over Two Cars Stuffed With 4 Tons Of Stolen Oranges

Police in Seville, Spain have made a bizarre discovery when they pulled over two cars filled to the brim with oranges.

Local authorities observed the two vehicles driving closely together. After attempting to pull the cars over, they quickly took off down a dirt road and a chase ensued.

After pulling the duo over, police found that both were stuffed with thousands of oranges. A short time later, a truck packed with oranges was also found. All up, there were more than four tons of the tasty fruit in the three vehicles. When quizzed about the oranges, the drivers claimed they’d come “from very far away and had been stopping and collecting oranges along the way.”

After further investigations, police discovered that the oranges had in fact been stolen from a shipment.

A couple, their adult son, and two brothers were charged with theft.

Well, they already made a prono about a lemon thief. I guess this was the next logical step.

      And you know that because…

      • LeStori

Not worth much . about 1 to 1.5 Euros for 3 Kg (6.6 lbs) . Probably Cost more to take them away than to dump them. In fact this whole crime probably cost more to investigate, prosecute than the value of all the oranges which was about 2000 Euro (US$2500)

        • Un Tipo Serio

Well, then you’d know that’s not the way things are done in Spain. We all pay taxes so the problems are solved, and It’s not all about money. Probably these cops returned the oranges to the owners who denounced the theft, as anybody would expect. Yeah, dude, (poor) Europe.

  • Obsequious Lickspittle

Why, they oughta marmalade those guys!

Criminals being dumb again. Why the fuck would they steal that many oranges?

    • Un Tipo Serio

Not to sell them, of course. Yeah, that would be the easy way, I’m pretty sure they were planning to throw them to Rajoy…

      • LeStori

In 2017 you could buy 3 kg (6.6 lbs) of oranges for between 1 and 1.5 Euro in Spain. Yeah crime of the century by brilliant masterminds. Humans. If they were any dumber they would make a snail look intelligent.

        • Un Tipo Serio

Or maybe just poor and desperate people, like there’s plenty in Spain. Maybe things are a bit difficult outside your bubble

Orange you glad they didn’t steal bananas?

  • Andrew Riles

Hopefully the police will be able to squeeze a juicy confession out of them…..
