Roush’s 2018 JackHammer Is A 710-hp Supercharged Mustang

While the special edition 2018 JackHammer is based on the Mustang GT, at its core lies a Roush TVS 2650 supercharger boosting power all the way up to a Hellcat-beating 710 horses.

Buying this kit will set you back $14,765, and on top of that, it’s available only for Fastback Mustangs, be it a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic version. The JackHammer comes with multiple bespoke visual identifiers that sets it apart from Roush’s Stage 1 or Stage 2 Mustangs.

One such identifier is the hockey stripe decal, previously available only on Stage 3 Mustangs.

Roush’s JackHammer is all show and all go

Other features include the adjustable suspension, new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires, optional matte black Top Performance stripe, and standard 20-inch gloss black wheels.

Then there are the body side scoops, low gloss black rear decklid spoiler, rear blackout panel with Roush badging, high-flow upper grille with ‘JH’ badge, high-flow lower opening, front chin spoiler with wheel shrouds, front windshield banner, rear valance aero foils, hood strut lift assist, JackHammer serialized engine bay plaque, Roush license plate and frame, custom gauge cluster, embroidered floor mats and illuminated door sill plates.

As for the optional extras, those willing to spend extra can opt for a quad-tip exhaust system, an active quad-tip exhaust system, the previously-mentioned top performance stripe, TrakPak 3-way coil over suspension, billet performance pedals, leather seats, 6-speed shifter ball, trunk-mounted tool kit and black quarter window scoops.

The 2018 Roush JackHammer Mustang, currently on display at the New York Auto Show, is available with the tunner’s 5-year, 60,000 mile (96,560 km) limited powertrain warranty.

And its warrantied! That said, its even more weight over the Mustang’s already excessively heavy nose. That cant be very good for anything other than a straight line.

Mr. Roush is one of the best Mustang tuners out there. He’s well known for his suspension and chassis setups. I’m sure quite a bit of time and effort, has gone into making sure, the Mustang handles the added power easily. Not to mention, the new stock Mustang suspension, is the best yet.

      • I doubt people who order this sort of package would care for cornering right?

“is available with the tunner’s 5-year”? Did the editors not come in today? This and “international combustion engine” in another article?
