This Wacky Lexus LS 400 Might Make Sense In A Parallel Universe

Despite seeing our fair share of horrible cars mods, until something metaphysically unexplainable comes along, this car will be holding on to first place in our book regarding road-going atrocities.

Where do we even begin? Well, not with the front end, unfortunately. There’s definitely some weird stuff going on over there too, with something propped up on the hood, but only this rear 3/4 angle made it on Reddit.

The top part of the car looks like one of those padded rooms you find in mental institutions, while the rest of the body is covered in a very thick layer of either leather or vinyl. Whichever of the two it is, we can safely say this car isn’t getting any bumps or scrapes anytime soon.

Then there’s the rear wing, which is absolutely gigantic, not to mention comprised of what seems like a chrome bumper. Right underneath that is an extension of what would have normally been the rear bumper, which encompasses two seats, another, smaller bumper, and a pair of boxing gloves. In fact, if you look at it long enough, it almost seems like a little sofa is trying to bust out of the vehicle.

We can’t even bring ourselves to think what it would be like to drive that monstrosity. And we’re glad we won’t ever have to find out…

Was this a “Tasteless Car Show”? The wannabe “Hippie” Beetle next to this thing gives me that impression.

  • Necmy

    litterally wasting space in universe…

    • Jay

Yes. No matter what universe its in. it will always be a waste.

There’s dozens of questions I could ask but I’m not going to. I doubt I would find a single explanation that would be satisfactory.

  • I kid you not, my skin is tingling seeing that picture.

    uuhhhh…ya… WTF is this???

  • TheBelltower

Still looks better than a new Lexus.

  • Bash

If you look at it long enough, your IQ will drop to a single digit AND you’ll get a disease.

  • CJKnox

Poor Lexus, those old Toyotas/Lexus’s put up with so much abuse! They’ll still keep running too

  • Craig

Who would only take ONE photo of this car?

    • LWOAP

A person who couldn’t bear to look at it any more than they already have and rushed into the bathroom to pour bleach into their eyes.

      • Craig

lol – is it really THAT awful? PS In the April 2018 issue of Mopar Action magazine is an all new IMPERIAL concept!! [thought you’d like to know!]

        • LWOAP

It is to me. Also, are you sure Mopar Action isn’t pulling an April Fools joke?

          • Craig

I beg your pardon? An all new Imperial? A joke?! I don’t think so. [cough] I would have bought the magazine if it wasn’t $9. Yikes. The images will show up online eventually. [I hope] What they came up with is something between the new LS500 and the previous generation Fisker. The rear 3/4 view is very impressive. If you happen to walk by a magazine stand – check it out.

Looks like it crashed through a bouncy castle. I expect there to be a few dead kids stuck in the front grille.

  • Infinite1

They just need to put this poor Lexus out of it’s misery

  • RonK

Could be something from one of the Gambler Rallys. There’s some pretty wacky stuff that shows up to those.
