Dodge Demon Vs Lambo Huracan: Which One’s Faster In The 1/4-Mile?

Lamborghini’s latest entry-level supercar, the Huracan, has already laid down its credentials on more than one occasion.

With a naturally aspirated V10 mounted in the middle, rear- or all-wheel drive, depending on the version, clever engineering and an eye-catching design, it’s definitely a dream ride.

Over the years, the Huracan has been unleashed on the drag strip many times. From the stock models challenged by various vehicles to examples with over 2,000 horsepower, and, of course, the highly desirable Performante, the Huracan has raced a lot of cars. Now the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has added its name on that list.

In top-spec, equipped with the Demon Crate, drag radials and 100 octane fuel in its tank, the American muscle car puts out 840 horsepower. That’s already some 240 HP more than the stock Huracan LP610-4 for just a fraction of the Italian machine’s price.

However, as we have come to know, laying down all of that power is very tricky in the case of the Demon, which is why it lost to vehicles such as the McLaren 570S in the past.

So, surely the devilish machine is no match for a Lamborghini Huracan, right? The answer lies in the video shared below, which shows the two going down the drag strip for three 1/4-mile races. This should be more than enough to solve the dispute, wouldn’t you say?

LOL!!! the driver of the Demon absolutely SUCKS at driving, OR he or she is intentionally loosing

    • Oross

840 hp on 2 wheels. I’m sure you would be better.

      • Six_Tymes

I never said I would, but why race if YOU SUCK.

    • brn

He doesn’t suck, but he’s not good enough to handle the car in a competition. Others are regularly getting in the 9’s.

      • Six_Tymes

He sucks so Badly, its so funny to watch!! Other drivers get below 10 seconds, he sucks!!!

  • eb110americana

I think this just proves what everyone has been saying. The Demon IS faster, however, it is harder to launch properly. You can even see it. When the Demon gets a good launch, its front tires are nearly hanging off the ground for at least half the track, just barely carrying any weight. Which means we have been watching Demon runs with bad launches all along. It doesn’t mean they are easy to get a good pass in, but I would like to see one running mid nines as Dodge measured, and embarrassing some pricey metal for a change.

  • Greg Fellner

ya the guy driving the demon doesn’t know how to drive it.

  • john1168

    Geez! That was a bloodbath…

  • Craig

The Huracan weighs 851 lbs LESS! Let THAT sink in.

    • Silimarina

Yeah and Demon has special slick drag tires + more hp

    • SteersUright

Thats like the lambo towing a 3-person big-ass jetski.

  • GobbleUp

Happy to have sold my Demon and have the Performante incoming in July.

  • SteersUright

Dodge look mean in that green, the black hood just look cheap af though. Would be so much nicer if the hood matched the rest of the car.
Also, despite looking pretty damn cool on its own, next to the stunning Lambo its really showing its age and the cheapo Chrysler styling details become much more apparent. As for who’s faster, I personally dont much care, these are street cars to 90% of the people that buy them so for (not) my hard earned cash, Lambo wins all day!
