Even though this first-generation Dacia Logan was registered to a medical clinic last year when the incident occurred, should we really assume this maneuver was anything but irresponsible?

That would obviously mean giving the driver the benefit of the doubt, entertaining the notion that perhaps this really was the mother of all medical emergencies. Although, if we were to treat it like we would any other risky overtaking maneuver, the only sensible thing to do is cringe while trying not to picture a devastating outcome.

This action is actually from last year, and it took place on a single-lane rural road in Romania. As you can see, there was no room for overtaking, and the Logan driver even had the chance to slot back in behind that black VW Polo.

Instead, he or she nearly collided with an old Skoda Octavia and an Opel Astra. No matter how you spin it, this was way too close for comfort.

Hopefully all legal measures were taken after the fact, and the person driving the Dacia answered for what they did. Even if it was a full blown medical emergency – which is unlikely since the car wasn’t an ambulance and also isn’t ideal for transporting vital organs – the reality is that the driver didn’t care about other road users’ safety one bit.
