Infiniti is in the middle of their launch campaign for the all-new 2019 QX50 crossover, and in order to spread the word, they’ve filmed a new commercial starring two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry.

The ad focuses on how the all-new QX50 can unleash another side of Curry, contradicting the notion of him simply being one of the nicest guys in basketball. Just as Steph was talking about his “darker” side, his wife Ayesha calls him to ask if he remembered to buy milk, totally undermining his “bad” demeanor.

“Stephen Curry’s drive to continue to set new benchmarks both on and off the court is an ideal parallel to the attributes of the all-new Infiniti QX50,” stated Infiniti USA marketing boss, Phil O’Connor. “It is the first crossover with the ability to seamlessly switch between two sides, power and performance as well as efficiency and economy.”

This is in reference to the QX50’s variable compression ratio engine, the VC-Turbo. The engine is a 2.0-liter turbo petrol, with 272 PS (268 HP) and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque. It is paired to an XTRONIC CVT gearbox that’s designed to operate like a traditional 8-speed automatic.

The video ends with Curry back in the driver’s seat stating “I can be merciless.” After he got the milk, of course.

Curry is currently playing for his third NBA title, as his team will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 NBA Finals, set to kick off this Thursday, May 31. The Golden State Warriors are the heavy favorites and Curry’s outside shooting touch is largely responsible for that.
