As far as vehicles that can keep up with a supercar in a straight line without being supercar themselves go, this Hennessey-tuned Grand Cherokee Trackhawk might be what you’re looking for.

When Jeep unveiled the 707 HP Trackhawk, it automatically became one of the fastest SUVs in the world. In stock form, it can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds and does the 1/4 mile in 11.6 seconds at 116 mph (186 km/h).

Then again, why stay with a stock Trackhawk when you can have Hennessey’s HPE850 upgrade, adding a total of 145 HP to the already impressive 707 HP output. This results in a quicker 1/4 mile time, rated at 10.9 seconds, as well as a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds.

The SUV being showcased here has also been further upgraded with the tuner’s optional long tube headers to go with its louder exhaust system. Based on what we can hear, this might just be the world’s loudest SUV, especially with that supercharger whining the way it does.

According to the graph at the end, power peaked at 740.5 HP at the wheels, while peak torque was 672.85 lb-ft (912 Nm) at 4,480 rpm. You really can’t ask more of an SUV, right?

Well, in Hennessey’s case you can, as their HPE1000 upgrade produces 1,012 horses and 969 lb-ft (1,313 Nm) of torque. In a straight line, the HPE1000-equipped Trackhawk hits 60 mph just 2.7 seconds and does a standing 1/4 mile in 10.7 seconds at 132 mph (212 km/h).

These are truly amazing numbers for an SUV – and you can take that to the bank. Or, better yet, your nearest drag strip.
