After focusing their attention on the Audi RS3 Sportback earlier this year, ABT has now come up with a similar solution for that model’s four-door sibling, the RS3 Sedan.

The turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine was massaged to deliver 500PS (493hp / 368kW) and 570Nm (420lb-ft) of torque. That’s 100PS (99hp / 74kW) and 90Nm (66lb-ft) of torque more than the stock model, achieved via a tuned ECU, plus the addition of a new intercooler and stainless-steel exhaust system.

ABT Sportsline claims that with the extra muscle, the Audi RS3 Sedan takes only 3.7 seconds to reach 100km/h (62mph) from a standstill, and goes all the way up to 299km/h (186mph). This represents a 0.4sec improvement compared to the regular model, which maxes out at 250km/h (155mph), or 280km/h (174mph) with the optional Dynamic Plus package.

Other mechanical work includes the addition of new suspension springs and anti-roll bars, and better brakes that “bring the car to a stop in no time”, according to the aftermarket specialist.

The tuner also made sure that true petrolheads will instantly know that this isn’t your average Audi RS3 Sedan. Thus, they fitted it with a front lip and grille add-on, rear skirt set, fender inserts and a custom exhaust with two 102mm (4in) black chrome pipes.

Finally, customers can choose between several wheel sets, 19- or 20-inch in size, as well as interior upgrades such as the ABT-branded seats, carbon fiber trim and a special plaque mounted on the dashboard.
