Audi’s first dab into the SUV Coupe segment has so far impressed reviewers upon first contact. So if you decide to buy one, how should you spec it?

We could argue in favor of a Galaxy Blue Metallic exterior, because as with the Q8 (a dynamic and aggressive utility vehicle), there’s more to this shade of blue than meets the eye.

What’s interesting about this color is that it changes a lot based on light. If your Audi is parked somewhere in the shade, the Galaxy Blue Metallic paint will look considerably darker, whereas in the light it’s almost Turquoise.

Another positive is that this isn’t an Audi Exclusive colorway, which means you won’t have to spend a great deal of money in order to see it smeared all over your new car.

What we don’t know is how much it will cost on the Q8, but if it’s the same as on the Q7, then you’re looking at an extra $575 in the U.S., and £675 in the UK. You’re also getting a more “interesting” shade of blue that you would with say Navara Blue Metallic, also Audi’s own.

As for this particular car, on display at the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm, aside from the color, it’s identical to the one Audi unveiled last month when official images of the Q8 were shared around the world.
