People who love ultra-light track cars probably know about the VUHL 05RR, a more extreme version of the regular 05 first unveiled at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Now, the 05RR is exclusively available on Forza Motorsport 7 for Xbox One, giving users the chance to drive it before the real thing goes into production later this year. The VUHL 05RR is available within the Top Gear Car Pack update.

“We have been quietly evolving, improving and developing the VUHL 05 behind the scenes. The production-ready ‘RR’ is the result of this extensive work,” stated VUHL technical director, Iker Echeverria.

“We have beaten all of our rivals at various track demonstrations with our latest iteration, and we really want to share this remarkable lightweight driving experience with the world. This is where Forza Motorsport comes in – available globally and at no extra cost, gamers have no excuse not to try the new VUHL. I hope it is enjoyed as much as we loved working on the development of the car.”

Forza has allegedly managed to perfectly replicate the car’s real-world acceleration prowess, which sees it go from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds thanks to a 2.3-liter Ford EcoBoost engine paired to a 6-speed sequential gearbox and ultra low weight.

Its full carbon fiber body and aluminum-carbon monocoque help the 05RR achieve a power-to-weight ratio of 600 BHP-per-tonne, greater than that of a McLaren P1 or even the Bugatti Veyron.
