2020 Toyota Supra Wears Yellow, Gives Us A Peek Under Its Skirt

Toyota seems to have a hard time keeping the exterior design of the new generation Supra a secret.

We already saw the entire front end with no camouflage whatsoever a couple of weeks ago, and now it’s time to take a look at the rear.

Posted by SupraMKV, the image shows an FT-1 Concept-inspired cues like the triangular taillights and aggressive diffuser with F1-styled rear fog light sitting in the middle. Other similarities are the double exhaust pipes and large, boot lid-integrated spoiler lip.

Toyota is going for the most drawn-out product launch in automotive history and it is starting to become very tiresome.

    • salamOOn

      its already very tiresome.

    • PK

what’s a “most drawn out product launch” mean?

      • ➡️ProtectOurHeritage⬅️

“lasting or seeming to last longer than is necessary”

    • Mr. EP9

I’m already over this car and it hasn’t even been unveiled yet.

  • Bash

Given that we’ve been waiting for it for ages. I think we deserve to see more than just the right butt cheek. #justsaying

Where’s the dragon logo, Toyota?! It’s a Supra and I don’t see the dragon!! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/dce4996527f61625d0ab647fbccc0fa58fbc10b4e6b3a733dfb88f34df1ca9c6.jpg

    • Jonathan

Considering that the previous two generations of the Supra didn’t have it either, it seems you’re in a huff about nothing.

      • J. P.

Because the logo is historical and Toyota’s current logo is generically lame

  • ErnieB

    Toyota trolling us.. bastards!!

    • J. P.

Damned bastards, they didn’t even put the sacred dragon logo on the car

      • ErnieB

That’s an upgrade.. it’ll cost you at least $2k

  • dumblikeyou2

Please tell me that’s not the font they chose for name. Especially with that yellow color it reminds me of the Ford SPLASH. So damned 90s. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/3a7a4844177196fcde0d1f735bd8e62a4921b50f2a3766cb63c9d0c8331cb025.jpg

    • Vassilis

It’s exactly the same font they used in the previous model.

      • what’s the font face?

        • Vassilis

          No idea

      • dumblikeyou2

Yes, I know and I said the same thing back then too, in the 1990s.

  • SpongeBob99Swell

    • ErnieB

Yup that a$$ is pretty Bad .. nothing but a drabby little tush compared to the beautiful concept’s sculpted gluten..

  • That’s so sleazy Toyota, can I touch? ..I have a Quarter?

  • Mr. EP9

Yep, it’s exactly the way I expected it to look. Nothing here is surprising or exciting, and at this point, when it does get unveiled, it’s going to be very anticlimactic for me. But hey, keep dragging your feet Toyota. I’m sure no one is tired of these endless teasers at this point.

  • Jonathan

The license plate surround is directly from the MkIV as well.

  • Nordschleife

Two things. 1. The rear looks oddly squarer than I thought it would be especially in the bumper area. 2. Unfortunately all I can see is those Mercedes bumperettes to fill in the space on the US versions 😢
