Sales of the new special 2019 Audi TT 20th Anniversary edition model have now started in the US, paying homage to the TTS Roadster concept that debuted at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show.

Audi USA says that the special edition TT will be available in limited numbers, without specifying how many of the 999 planned examples will reach the US market. The 20th Anniversary Edition will be available in both Coupe and Roadster bodystyles.

As part of the 20th Anniversary Edition treatment, the special 2019 Audi TT is offered in either Aviator Grey pearl metallic or the US-exclusive Nimbus Grey metallic paint finish. All anniversary models will come with a lovely Moccasin Brown Nappa leather upholstery that features the iconic yellow baseball contrast stitching.

Other features of the limited 2019 Audi TT include high-gloss black exterior trim detailing, model-specific 19-inch gunmetal alloy wheels, a trumpet-style stainless steel exhaust and the OLED taillights that are currently only available to the range-topping TT RS. Wrapping up the changes is a set of the obligatory ‘20 Years of TT’ badges on the front fenders, as well as inside the cabin.

Apart from the Mocassin Brown Nappa leather, the cabin features S sport seats and all the latest upgrades from the facelifted 2019 TT model series, including a standard Audi phone box with wireless charging and signal booster.

All anniversary models also come with the Technology package as standard, which adds features like the MMI Navigation Plus, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bang&Olufsen audio system and Audi Side Assist.

The new Audi TT 20th Anniversary Edition will be available only with a 228hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, paired to a seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. Audi claims a 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds for the Coupe, and 5.5 seconds for the Roadster.

Pricing for the 2019 Audi TT 20th Anniversary Edition starts from $52,900 (plus destination fees), with Roadster models starting from $56,800.
