Only a handful of Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe owners will ever reach the limits of their rides. But it’s nevertheless assuring to know that they can cope a lot, especially in range-topping 63 S guise.

According to the official numbers released by Mercedes-AMG earlier this year, when the GT 4-Door Coupe was unveiled, the 63 S will do 315 km/h (196 mph) flat-out and sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds.

That’s very impressive indeed, given that it’s also a comfortable cruiser with space for up to four occupants. Yet it’s also powered by the most potent iteration of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine used in various AMG-developed Mercs.

At 639 PS (630 hp / 470 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, this V8 is more powerful even than the one in the Mercedes-AMG GT R. The same engine will power the upcoming Black Series model, though we don’t know if it’ll stick to the 4-Door Coupe’s output or be even more powerful.

Now, the video that you’re about to see shows the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe going from rest all the way up to 305 km/h (190 mph). Mind you, that’s only 10 km/h (6 mph) short of the vehicle’s official top speed, and there are very few places on earth where you can legally travel this fast.
