Watch Ford Focus Crash Into Pole While Trying To Avoid Kid Who Shot Into Traffic

A young cyclist in the UK caused a car to crash on Sunday, March 24 after carelessly crossing a road.

The accident occurred in Greater Manchester in the UK and the scene was captured by the exterior security camera of a local resident.

Footage shows two young boys slowly riding their bicycles along the sidewalk. Moments before the crash, one of the boys can be seen picking up an object on the pavement and quickly throwing it to the ground. The same boy then proceeds to swerve aggressively into the road and tries to make his way through the crossing.

However, a light blue Ford Focus was traveling along the road and the driver was forced to swerve out of the way to avoid making contact with the young cyclist. The motorist slammed into a large sign post while the two boys on bikes fled the scene.

Deadline News reports that the driver suffered minor injuries to his shoulder and hip.

Speaking with local media, the owner of the house opposite the incident, Jaine Rowley, said the crash occurred at 7:15 p.m. and revealed that the young cyclists have made a habit of causing chaos for locals.

“These two have been causing trouble for months now. Abusing walkers, dodging traffic, damaging property. If their parents have not seen this video yet then there’s something wrong! Hopefully, they will do the right thing,” Rowley said.

If the driver of the Focus hadn’t been so quick to react, one of the boys could have been seriously injured.

For the sake of the driver, we hope this CCTV footage helps them prove to their insurance company that they’re not to blame.

    a) It wasn’t their fault.
    b) They’re just young boys.
    c) There’s nowhere for them to play.
    d) The car was speeding.
    e) My [insert child’s name] is a good lad.

How many will be rolled out by the “parent(s)”?

    • Mr. EP9

I’ll choose F for all of the above.

    • ace_9

I agree with you on that. After some experience… Even when the parents drag their children on the road without looking, it’s always the driver’s fault. Most people are just aggressive and stupid and they don’t bring almost nothing positive to this world. And I’m still surprised and sad that this is how they changed my view of the world over the years.

      • Loquacious Borborygmus

I’d disagree with the “most” pronoun as I don’t want to be too depressed but yeah, there’s a lot of “what’s in it for me” people out there.

  • FordMopar

Causing ruckus for months by the boys on bikes? Would’ve taught the boy a lesson had the Focus driver just simply drive straight ahead…… stupid boys…

  • Mr. EP9

If only there was a cure for reckless behavior and dumb behavior but there isn’t. That kid is lucky. I don’t know where their parents are at, or what they are doing, but they need to be made aware of what these delinquents have been doing for the past few months and give them the belt.

    • designer_dick

The irony here is that the kid will probably get off with a slap on the wrist, despite intentionally causing a car accident, while his parents would likely be charged with child abuse if they were to discipline him with anything more serious than harsh language.

  • salamOOn

“These two have been causing trouble for months now……If their parents have not seen this video yet then there’s something wrong!” Rowley said.

well, there is already something wrong…… obviously.

  • designer_dick

That was no accident – the little pr*ck did that on purpose. You can see him look before he starts out onto the road, then swerve out of the way as the car gets closer. If the car had hit him, based on the video evidence, it’s very unlikely that the driver would have been found to be at fault.

    • brn

If you’re correct, what are the odds that the kid will be prosecuted?

      • designer_dick

He’ll get a slap on the wrists in the form of a police caution, and that’ll be it. There will be no prosecution, as it would likely be viewed as a waste of resources.

Basically, he’ll be told that he’s been a naughty boy and not to do it again.

  • Paul

The kid on the bike needs the snot beat out of him for that BS.

  • Craig

Hopefully there is some way to identify the little creep.
