Peugeot will show off a prototype of their upcoming fully-electric e-208 supermini at the Fully Charged Live event, taking place from June 7th to 9th at Silverstone. Reservations are now being taken for the small EV.

The French automaker is already planning on providing electrified variants across its entire model range by 2023, which is why the e-208 is powered by a 100 kW motor and a 50 kW battery, delivering a zero-emission range of up to 211 miles (339 km) on a full charge.

The all-new Peugeot e-208 is built on the e-CMP electrified modular platform and is capable of supporting 100 kW rapid charging, with an 80% charge available within 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a full charge (using a 7 kWh Wallbox charger) will take roughly eight hours.

In terms of performance, the e-208 will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 8.1 seconds, aided by the 136 PS (134 HP) and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque – numbers that are identical to those of its platform sibling, the all-new Opel Corsa-e.

“With order books opening later this year, the Fully Charged Live event at Silverstone is the perfect opportunity for PEUGEOT to introduce the all-new e-208 to the British public,” stated Peugeot UK exec, David Peel.

The Peugeot e-208 will feature the automaker’s latest i-Cockpit system, with a 3D instrument panel and touchscreen display. All e-208 models will have MirrorLink with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, with drivers able to select between three driving modes (Eco, Normal and Sport) once they’re ready to get going.
