Corvette Z06 Driver Does A Mustang By Attempting Burnout, Ending Up In Ditch

If you’re curious to see what it looks like when you “graduate” from crashing Mustangs to something more expensive like, say, a Corvette Z06, well, this is pretty much it.

The fact that this wasn’t an “innocent” crash is what makes us poke fun at the situation. The driver was clearly trying to show off for the crowd, which is a. ill-advised, and b. oftentimes, bound to end up in tears and humiliation.

Adding insult to injury (thankfully, only material, not human), the stunt took place on a narrow public street, so it’s a good thing no bystanders were hurt.

So how embarrassing was this on a scale of 1 to Ford Mustang Crashes Into A Bar 10? We’re going to give it a solid 9, because the driver ticked off nearly all the boxes that so often leave us shaking our heads: showing off, check; noise pollution, check; unable to control vehicle, check; putting oneself and others in danger, check; damaging expensive vehicle; check.

The only thing missing was for the driver to crash into another vehicle and just make everything worse for themselves plus another car owner. That would have score a perfect 10 in the Drive of Shame rating.

By the way, if you’re a big Corvette fan, you’re definitely going to cringe towards the end of the clip when the driver attempts to get the car back out onto the road. While successful, you can hear all the underbody damage being taken on by the poor car. Guess saving some face (…) was more important than making sure no more damage was done to the vehicle…

In the end, we think this one got off easy – certainly more so than the elderly driver who crashed his convertible Vette earlier this year and had to be rushed to the hospital.

I hope this idiot suffered many $1000s in out of pocket damage to his car. What kind of idiot would just keep smoking his tires??? And $400 each tires at that!!! Maybe daddy bought this fool his car.

Mustangs crash into crowds, Corvettes crash into ditches. Need I say more?

This video is like 2 years old……..

  • DeathPunch180

It’s not just Mustangs, it’s Camaros, Corvettes, even a Viper losing control while showing off. Damage to your vehicle is what dbags deserve.

  • Wandering_Spirit

Another sad case of incompetence from the land of the free. Driving standards seem to be really appalling over there. I just say, take time to train your dirty driving skills in places where damages do not occur and THEN show them off in relative safety on public roads, if you really want to. The other way round, i.e. improvised experiments on narrow stretches of tarmac, are often doomed.

Soooooooooooooooooooooo tired of the Mustang jokes.

When you sell the number one sports care on the planet, you’re going to have more idiots. Damn that popularity.

Wait until his insurance company sees this video…

Better to show off at a rally like this then at a stoplight with lots of other cars around and maybe pedestrians too! Summer is the time for doing muscle car stuff especially up North here since the muscle cars cannot be driven in the winter month or it will end up like the ZO6 in the ditch!

  • Harry_Wild

Most of the muscle car burnout guys now are into their 80-90 years old around here. They have hard time even getting into their Camaros, Mustangs and Corvettes. But when they do finally get in, the first place they go to is a vacant parking lot and do burnouts, 360s and find a long length of road to take their car to maximum speed! LOL! Kids will be kids!

    Yes idiots on the road!

If you can’t handle it you shouldn’t attempt it.
