Suzuki Jimny Gets Side-Exiting Exhausts For The Full G63 Effect

The boxy shape of the current Suzuki Jimny has helped make it one of the most desirable off-roaders at the moment and with some exterior modifications, it can be turned into a baby Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

In recent months, we’ve seen a number of tuning companies release beefed-up bodykits for the Jimny, none more impressive than the styling package from Japanese tuner Liberty Walk. Now, the crew at Frequency Intelligent Exhaust have continued the baby G-Class theme by developing a side-exiting exhaust system for the Jimny.

The side exhausts of the G-Class are one of its most iconic elements, exiting out from underneath the off-roader just in front of the rear wheels. Fi Exhaust’s package looks largely identical but doesn’t feature dual exhausts on both sides and rather just on a single side. They still look the part and perhaps best of all, sound the part.

Sure, you’re not going to replicate the sound of a big Mercedes-Benz G-Class V8 with a Jimny but it still produces a respectable note. As a reminder, the Jimny is fitted with a tiny 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine delivering 100 hp and 96 lb-ft (130 Nm) of torque. That’s nearly six-times less power and torque than the current G63 which offers up 577 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque.

The current Suzuki Jimny isn’t available for sale in the United States which is a real shame. Suzuki rubbed salt into the wound of local Jimny enthusiasts by bringing a bright yellow example to the New York Auto Show in April but only doing so to collect the vehicle’s award for World Urban Car of the Year.

I am laughing so hard at that exhaust, oh wait, on second thought… its kind of cool. I just wish these new Jimnys fared better in crash tests, because as of right now they are horrible failures.

The only horrible failure here is you… Are you just a troll? I don’t see why else would someone who knows literally nothing about cars visit here.

Good luck to your gas guzzler ride. At the end of the day, you wouldn’t be able to drive a vehicle that has more history than you and more units sold than your current vehicle.

The only thing u had more than this jimny would probably the bills to pay for maintenance and the money spent on fuel per kilometer.

U know the Ford Mustang failt to in Euro Ncap crashtest. so i belive the jimny is safer than the Mustang because the Mustang is a Faster car.

    Where are those still available?
Looks like the Bahamas or somewhere.
