Jannarelly Design-1 Sports Car Making UK Debut At Salon Privé

With a rear-wheel drive configuration and almost ideal balance, the Jannarelly Design-1 is said to deliver an exhilarating driving experience, and the numbers definitely support that statement.

It weighs just 810 kg (1,785 lbs) in composite form, or 760 kg (1,675 lbs) in all-carbon, and is powered by a 3.5-liter, Nissan-sourced V6 producing 325 HP, enough to get you from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds, before maxing out at 135 mph (220 km/h).

The Design-1 is set to make its UK debut at Salon Privé, which takes place at the UK between September 5 and 8.

Designed by the same man who penned the Lykan HyperSport, Anthony Jannarelly, the Design-1 can be had with a variety of different options such as a hardtop, canopy cover and low-level windshield, while both the exterior and interior can be customized to the customer’s choice.

“I was often asked if I drove a Lykan and the more I said no, the more I wondered what kind of car I would like to drive on a daily basis. I started sketching some ideas during a flight and then met my now partner, Frederic Juillot, who made boats and composite parts and is also based in Dubai,” said Anthony Jannarelly. “Such was the enthusiasm, that we decided to go the whole way and launch our own sports car brand and so Jannarelly was born.”

Salon Privé co-founder and sales director David Bagley commented: “I’m thrilled that Anthony and Thomas Ceccaldi, Director of Jannarelly Paris have selected our event to launch the thrilling Design-1 to the UK market. In spite of our continued growth, we have been able to maintain the ambience and atmosphere that makes Salon Privé such a unique boutique event and it is this environment that I believe is perfect for presenting such a specialized brand as Jannarelly.”

Nissan 3.5? I wonder what gearbox it’s using?

Sounds like a modern lightweight successor to the original Z cars. Albeit with a Cobraesque exterior and a Dubai pricetag.

      More Testa Rossa-esque than Cobraesque.

Love the looks, the blue coupe in particular is awesome. Just wish they went with a bit more special of an engine.
