2019 Chevy Silverado RST And Trail Boss Regular Cabs Too Cool For U.S.

It’s hard to imagine the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 as a forbidden fruit in the United States yet that’s exactly what the Trail Boss and RST Regular Cab models of the all-new truck are.

Only available for the Crew Cab and Double Cab body versions in the U.S., the Trail Boss and RST trims for the 2019 Silverado 1500 are offered in the Middle East in a region-exclusive Regular Cab version. You can check both of them out in the detailed photo gallery released by Chevrolet for its Middle Eastern customers.

All 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab models are offered as standard with the 355 hp 5.3-liter V8 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Compared to the previous generation model, the 2019 regular cab lineup offers a roomier interior with individual bucket seats and “exceptional safety technology.”

Such a beauty. Just make this a modern Blazer. Just make it into an SUV that looks like a 2-dr Truck with a removable Cap over the bed, and put in removable rear seats.

That would be nice and I I’m telling you if that happen, I would be buying it the next day!

Hmmm I find this regular cab design actually attractive vs. the hideous crew and double cab.

Im surprised you didn’t mention how the GMC Sierra regular cab is also sold there. And the interesting thing is that the GMC is more popular than the Chevy in the Middle East.

Myself and for other people I know would by 1 tomorrow morning if we had this option

Sales. It’s always about sales, or lack thereof.

Dinky wheels. Trail Boss with such dinky wheels don’t boss on the trail.

  • i still see plenty of regular cab trucks though so it’s really not that there isn’t a market for them.

but i think maybe the manufactuers are limiting their sales because they can profit off the larger 4 doors?

  • DM

GM should offer the regular cab Silverado and Sierra at least in only one trim just as they do in Mexico. I’m sure some folks would love a sporty regular cab truck. Not everything has to be big and blingy.

  • regular cab trucks just look right.

  • eb110americana

This would look so good with a nice tactical roll/light bar behind the cab.

GM is infested with a bunch of jerks for not letting the US have them.

  • Ken Lyns

Yes. CAFE scales with the vehicle’s footprint. The longer and wider it is, the less fuel efficient it needs to be. That’s why automakers reduce weight with aluminum bodies and carbon fiber beds, yet ALWAYS increase exterior size.

This is what they do with your gas money. 🙂
