With the launch of the McLaren GT, brand aficionados no longer need to take their business elsewhere if they’re in the market for a luxurious and fast grand tourer.

However, the McLaren GT’s luggage compartments have specific shapes, so owners should go for bespoke bags to make the most of the vehicle’s 570 liters (20.1 cu-ft) of storage offered by the long rear luggage deck and the deep frunk.

To this end, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has released the first all-new bespoke luggage collection, with four items for every occasion. Designed exclusively for the McLaren GT, the collection includes a garment case, weekend bag, cabin bag, and a full-size golf club bag, each designed to fit a specific location in the car.

Showcased at Pebble Beach alongside a bespoke McLaren GT by MSO, each bag in the collection is hand-assembled by specialists in Italy, using the same soft and supple semi-aniline leather and stitch pattern found inside the McLaren GT. There are three colors available: Pioneer Black, Luxe Black and Luxe Porcelain.

Stitching and piping have been selected to match the GT’s two specification levels (Pioneer and Luxe) as well as the car’s launch colors of Namaka Blue, Burnished Copper and Veridian Green.

The McLaren GT bespoke luggage collection will be available globally from September, with prices starting at £1,700 (approximately $2,080) for the garment case. The weekend bag costs £1,850 ($2,260), the cabin bag £2,800 ($3,420), while the full-size golf bag tops the range at £5,000 ($6,105).

In total, McLaren GT owners are looking at a £11,350 ($13,870) bill for the entire set. It does seem a bit excessive, even for affluent customers who have already paid at least £163,000 ($210,000 in the U.S.) to get the car.
