When Horacio Pagani founded Automobili Pagani in 1992, few imagined that the tiny upstart could ever pose a threat to Ferrari and Lamborghini, let alone steal some of their esteemed clientele.

27 years later, Pagani has become a well-established exotic brand, providing their customers with only the best. And getting the best from Pagani these days means choosing the Huayra Roadster BC, but if you haven’t placed an order already, you should turn to the used car market, as all 40 examples have been sold out even before its unveiling a couple of weeks ago.

The Roadster BC is using an evolved version of the standard car’s carbon-titanium tub chassis, which offers improved stiffness and lower weight. It tips the scales at 1,250 kg (2,755 lbs) dry, about the same as a compact hatchbhack, and packs a 6.0-liter, twin-turbo V12 made by Mercedes-AMG specifically for Pagani.

With 802 PS (791 hp / 590 kW) at 5,900 rpm and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of torque from 2,000 to 5,600 rpm directed to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission with an electro-mechanical differential, it’s more powerful than a McLaren Senna

Now, as we said earlier, you can no longer buy the Huayra Roadster BC, as all units have been spoken for. However, that didn’t stop Pagani from releasing an official commercial on their YouTube channel, which is all about being inspired and inspiring in return. We still have some way to go before 2019 waves us bye-bye, but this might just be one of the best car commercials of the year – and it doesn’t even show the hypercar being punished on a twisty road.
