Nissan’s 2020 Pathfinder SUV is now on sale in the U.S. with a starting price of $31,680 for the base-spec Pathfinder S two-wheel drive model, not including the $1,045 destination and handling tax.
Buyers can choose between 2WD and 4WD, as well as four well-equipped grade levels in the S, SV, SL and Platinum. The 2020 model also continues to be available with the popular Rock Creek Edition package.
All models are powered by the same 284 HP (286 PS) 3.5-liter V6 engine, working alongside the automaker’s Xtronic transmission. According to Nissan, the Pathfinder’s standard maximum towing capacity is a best-in-class 6,000 lbs (2,721 kg), as long as the vehicle is properly equipped with the required hardware.
Features onboard the 2020 Pathfinder include Nissan’s EZ Flex Seating System with LATCH and GLIDE technology, a 2nd row tilt and glide seat for easy 3rd row access (even with a child seat installed), Intelligent Around View Monitor (I-AVM), a Bose 13-speaker premium audio system, Dual Panorama Moonroof, Motion-Activated liftgate with liftgate position memory and NissanConnect with Navigation and Services.
As for the Rock Creek Edition, that’s a special value option package with unique exterior and interior modifications, available on 2020 Pathfinder SV and SL grades. There are black accents on the grille, roof rails, side mirror casings, front and rear fascias, plus unique badging. Meanwhile, the interior boasts high contrast stitching, more special badges and additional metallic trim.
All Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition models also come with a trailer tow hitch, harness and splash guards as standard.
