Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Driver Runs Red Light, Spins Out Of Control

While it’s not a given that all fast cars prompt their drivers to behave recklessly, having a mighty supercharged V8 engine under the hood can be a big temptation for your right foot. Unfortunately, some people do so while in traffic.

Take the individual behind the wheel of this Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. Not only was he unable/unwilling to stop before the light turned red, he was going fast enough to lose control of the car and spin uncontrollably towards oncoming traffic.

The footage was taken from a Tesla dash cam and posted by one David Whitener, who we presume was driving the electric car at the time. He also mentions that after the spin, the Caddy driver simply carried on his merry way – although we suspect some damage to the car did occur.

From what we can gather, this is a clear case of not adapting your speed to your surroundings. At the same time, it’s quite possible that the driver never intended to stop at the light and was slaloming through traffic even before that group of cars reached the intersection.

We saw a similar accident recently where a Toyota Camry spun out while chasing a BMW 5-Series in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Unfortunately, the driver of that Toyota wasn’t as lucky and wrapped his car around a light pole, flipping over.

It’s that type of crash that usually acts as a deterrent for this type of behavior in the future. Let’s hope the driver of the Cadillac still learned a valuable lesson.

I’d be surprised if the car isn’t totaled. Hitting curbs at speed in a modern uni-body vehicle is not good.

Tesla’s market value is so high because its vehicles are private, mobile narc machines. “Investors” are customers with a need for private spycraft. A la Epstein, the man who similarly provided “investors” a means for private blackmail services to control certain targets.

        Change my mind.

Musk started Paypal, which can monitor finances.
Musk bought Tesla, which can monitor streets.
Musk started SpaceX, which can monitor the globe.

All of it done “privately” without govt interference on account of all his contracts.

He has no background in these things. He grew up in one of the most ultra-oppressive (Communist) countries in the world.

SpaceX cannot legitimately do cheaper what was already being done by the space/defense industry. No need to develop new engines when we were building similar engines before Musk’s mother should’ve swallowed him.

Upscale steakhouses use dry-aged beef where the beef is hung on a rack to dry for several weeks. This process evaporates moisture in the muscles and promotes enzymatic breakdown of connective tissue which together yields a very flavorful meat.

bahahahahahah! THAT was truly hilarious, thanks for the laugh!

  • lagunas3ca

This is how every CTS-V Coupe owner drives, actually.

  • Six_Tymes

he got mad and mashed the gas peddle because the car in front of him was stopping at a yellow. all because of that he ruined his car.

Seems to me like the driver wasn’t paying attention and once he notices the car stopped in front of him he swerves to the right as an automatic reaction but being that the car is a rear wheel drive car with lots of power he then loses control.

Or he’s just a moron who meant to run the red light and loses control while doing it. I’m an optimist so I’ll like to go with my first theory.

  • Big Black Duck

Still very Impressed that he avoided all vehicles ..

I want to comment that the high quality video of the dashcam. It was beautifully recorded as it was filming a Fast and Furious movie.

  • Ryan Z

It doesn’t look like he ever hit the brakes…which tells me he meant to swerve and run the red. Also, he had to have traction control off. A V won’t spin like that otherwise.
