Dirt Bike Rider Plows Into Metal Barrier, Breaks Nothing But His Phone

Hitting a stationary object at 40 mph (64 km/h) can be cause serious injuries (or even worse…) to a motorcycle rider. Thankfully, the person on top of this dirt bike managed to escape without sustaining any serious injuries.

We’d also like to add that even if you’re not on a public or highly populated road, it’s always best that you first familiarize yourself with your surroundings, or at least make sure there aren’t any obstacles in your way, which can happen even on roads you may be familiar with.

According to the description of the video, the rider feels as though he probably should have died from the impact, yet acknowledges he was very lucky to walk away without even breaking a single bone!

“I didn’t see the gate till it was too late, I applied the brakes 10 meters before the gate, I braked as hard as I could without locking up the wheels. I hit the gate between 30-40 mph. If I had broken a bone I would have been stuck there till someone found me, as my phone was destroyed. I am very lucky that I didn’t. Luckily I do not have any serious injuries apart from some cuts and heavy bruising”, he said.

While we wouldn’t go as far as to say that 9 out of 10 times, a crash like this would have much more dire consequences, we can’t help but notice that the rider isn’t wearing any protective gear on his legs and upper body – just gloves. But he did wear a helmet, which goes to show (once again) how important that is.

As for the bike, upon initial inspection it seems to have sustained a broken fender and a displaced headlight, so it won’t cost that much to repair. Talk about luck, huh?

not sure why the gate was painted in green instead of yellow or orange..

If this barrier was there, it’s because they don’t want morons like him there.

Next time he will go on a track instead of polluting the forests and the fields…
